Hello fellow Gruenites,

I am need of a junker 127. I need the upper plate (small quarter plate) that houses the ratchet spring and click. One of the screws and plate that holds the stem in has broken off(I got it that way...promise) I and will not come out. Therefore, I am looking for the whole caboozle. Any nice folks out there wanna help? By the way, I have this watch sold already.

There is a Dutch saying that comes to mind, which translates roughly like this : "don't sell a bear's hide before you have killed it"

Not very helpful I know, but couldn't resist Laughing

I'll keep an eye out for one.

I love that saying, and it would be true except one thing......it is I who screwed the watch up after the deal was made!!!! I own it, I accept, and now I have to fix it! Had I been a bit more observant, then I would not be laughing at your statement, and looking for parts!!! Laughing Sheeesh! Shocked Somehow I will get this straightened out.

Very Warmest Regards,

Tomas

Hi Tomas,

if you cannot find the plate - there are a number of ways of extracting broken screws.

1. Disolve all the steel with Alum. It doesn't damage the plates, but you must remove all the steel parts you need to keep.
2. Bergeon tool (alum is more reliable but slower Rolling Eyes )

I do greatly appreciate that bit of advice. I'll look in to both of those. Thanks again!

Check WUS. Many many many techniques for removing screws. You do have a great list of things to begin trying in this thread.
