I totally agree with Gary, the watch is the Veri-Thin Portia.

It did cost §37,50 when it was sold in the 40s, the nowadays worth is relative and depending on what people are willing to pay for it. I have purchase similar watches for anything between $1 and $20. There are not many collectors of ladies watches so prices for gold plated or gold filled models are pretty low.
