I've decided to clean out some of my collection. I'm starting with some items that I acquired specifically to resell.

This watch has a solid 14k rose gold case. Comes with a new IW brown leather band with matching rose gold-tone buckle. Has matching pink gold-tone and "Gruen" marked winding crown.

The movement, a cal 405 which was recently stripped down, cleaned, oiled and adjusted. Has a new mainspring and a new (old stock) vintage crystal.

Keeps time to within 60sec a day. Hopefully some members will/can attest to the quality of my workmanship when it comes to overhauling watches, especially Gruen and this specific caliber.

I'll include domestic shipping or discounted international shipping at this price. Lower price offers may not. Depends on who is the buyer.

A bit on the name... There are several ads that indicate that this style case and metal content was offered as the VT Nomad or the VT Viceroy. The Viceroy was only advertised as being 14k; the Nomad seems to have been offered as both in 10k GF or as a solid precious metal case (e.g. 14k). HOWEVER, I have owned the Nomad before and have one now; the case edges are rounded on the Nomad and this I believe this is actually the Viceroy. This one the edges are squared. It has the same style number too with the Nomad.

$350 - I'll take PayPal or you can mail me a check.

If you want additional images or have questions, please PM me.

No engravings and the case is in the condition as I found it: minor scratches on the case back.

Dial is in good condition - All lettering is present. Dial appears to be a factory original (Switzerland). Some small marks near the 9-o'colock position.

14K gold hallmarked as "14 karat gold" in the Star Watch Case Company made case with all correct Gruen Markings. Marked inside and outside with gold content.

Movement is clean and running with good amplitude and timing.

I think at this price point it is near scrap value or slightly above with the cost of a COA added in.
If you buy the watch and decide you dislike it, you can return it within a week for a refund minus the postage costs.

I'll be listing a Pan Am ($220) and the above mentioned VT Nomad ($45) in the next couple of days. I also have a 1944 Longines too that has a cal 12.68n (sweep seconds) in a chromed base metal case w/stainless back ($250). Case is in great shape too.

Cheers!

Nice watch! But...its Christmas and my $$ are going elsewhere and my watch budget was recently spent. Rolling Eyes I can attest though to Jack's work and now that i see he has a vintage Longines with that era calibre i may be sending him another watch in the New Year. Smile

Still here....

This is still available. I'll take $300 if you are willing to pay by check.
