Hi Jenneke,

got my Baguette 505 with serial number 2219556 yesterday and stumbled over yours when trying to ID it (which I finally did). Mine is not yet in a working condition but looks like it's just the stem broken and with it the crown is missing. Should be easily repairable.
The ID brought up the watch being named Bridesmaid, it can be found on pages 53 and 63 in Mike's 1930s book.
Here is a very clear view of it from December '33 with the original band which is still at my watch.

Yikes, doesn't $42.50 seem like a steep price for a seven jewel watch?

Definitely! They did not mention that fact in their ads. It is gold filled and has two diamonds, so it was higher priced. Clever marketing, the fact that it has only 7 jewels is not mentioned, so you only get to know it when you ask. If you see and like the watch, you probably won't argue.

I'm pretty sure the ladies only cared that it worked, and, oh yes, the diamonds! Cool

Whoopie! It has a name. Smile Must have missed it in mike's book.

Strange names they chose those days.
