And even less info on this one....

15 jewel movement, 22.02mm diameter which i believe is 9 3/4 lignes?, If i recall correctly from the old site this was an Aegler movement from the mid-late 1920's. Speculators on the Bulova site seems to believe that this movement base was also used by Favre when they made movements for Bulova in the late 20's.

A later Guild one of these just showed up: item # 114249656188. Now with 4 adjustments, updated carrier, etc. I’d say ca1922-23, judging by the words & numbers for jewels/adj.

Interesting it doesn’t have a caliber # stamped. Must be an error. I have pics of a 4adj Guild one ca 1921 or early 22 (#s only for jewels & adj), which already has the caliber stamped on plate just below where it says “Gruen”

I think this is a Marc Favre-made caliber. Basing that on click, setting mechanism, front plate stamps, and bridge layout. Haven’t found a Favre marked one with the 2 small finger bridges yet—only combined.

My two caveats:
1) I'm wrong many times a day --just ask my wife!
2) Always seeking to learn more

Many 1xx movements are known to have been built by Marc Favre, especially all ID'd 12x and 13x movements. But caliber 126 / 127 are not based on a registered deaign, so I found no evidence that they are really coming from that factory. But I agree many design elements are typical for Marc Favre and it is very likely that the caliber has been built there.

Will keep looking. Maybe an update of an earlier movement? There’s a ca1910ish pin-set Favre I saw with the same long wavy bridge. Not separate finger bridges though.

Oh if only there were a complete database of old movements! Wait, guess that’s what we’re doing... Razz

Item 130478264681 is from Favre’s Primrose line. Same setting works vs Mike’s above (but complete); same front plate mark style. A 1920s version, so now with identical click and stud carrier to the Guild era 126 mentioned above. Not marked for US export, so no jewel or adj count. Front plate sn E 87.

And item 202656630873 (ended, mislisted as Wiittnauer) is an earlier version, 15J, 3adj, parts like Mike’s. Possibly same batch: front plate sn A 276, with “A” in same place (location may indicate rollover to new series).
