Gruenites,

Who else in the world of watchdom does dial refinishing other than International? I cannot take the excuses any longer!

Well there is this thread to gain some insight...
http://forums.watchuseek.com/f11/dial-restoration-whos-best- 255833-2.html

I've a Gruen dial that I am contemplating sending to Kirk Rich in California...

Only problem is that they were a pain to deal with on the only other dial that I've sent them. Others have said good things...

What type of pain are we referring to, here?

They didn't do a good job. When I complained they told me that they didn't have an exact match to the dial print I want... they substituted without asking me and then wouldn't refund my money but offered me a credit towards my next redialing. I've not used them since. However, others have said they do well with early Gruen and Curvex dials. I have one of those... and International does not do well with those types of dials... Don't get me wrong on ID... They did a phenomenal job on the two Hamilton dials; the Square was done like new.

No, they have done some nice work in the past. My issue is that I have 2 dials there for 2 months, and I keep getting the old "soft shoe" shuffle. One excuse after another. The problem is, is that I now have my own money tied up in these dials, which in return, clogs up my return investment from other customers.
