Hmmm, hard to ID.
I can't see a style number in the case, I would assume that the movement is a caliber 704. This could be a Strap 370 from about 1939, but I am not really sure.
Other opinions please?

I just took another look into it, I could be totally off, but what I made out with a magnifying glass is 57470 hand engraved above that 100811 stamp. Also in the top left hand corner, hand engraved are the numbers 623963 OR 523963 and 6m825. Hope that may help.

I'd speculate that you have a Gruen Kent

I think you may be on the right track there, but the only advertisement I've been able to find so far says this Kent has a 15 jewel movement, is it possible they made a model with the 17 jewel movement as well?

OP's crystal is rectangular; the Kent's crystal has curved sides.

Just moved and haven't yet located my reference books. Sad

Yes, sides are parallel to one another and not curved; however it is domed.

What do you all think? Other than the hour hand and mine having the 705 movement it looks dead on to me. But i am FAR from being an expert.

Like I said at first, Strap 370. Unfortunately I have not found a sales name for this watch.
As I can see, you have bought Mike's Gruen Catalog, wise move.

I agree with Strap 370. Movement discrepancy notwithstanding, there aren't any other candidates. And I'm sure the hour hand is a replacement.
