No, I have a life...Seriously! Rolling Eyes

Yes I'm posting here on a Saturday night but having a life. I put in 68 hours this week helping the production line and had to get away. Gave the better half a break as she is preparing for her entrance interview for her Masters.

Loaded up the micro-mini RV aka Fred Flintstone mobile. Picked the daughter up from Saturday school and headed north up to Whidbey Island. We are here at Wall Mart, yes were staying here the night. Crazy but the daughter loves it, shopping on a whim. Shocked

We had a soaker of a storm come in. 3 inches of rain and counting. They said this system picked up rain from a couple of old Asian typhoons. I believe it!

The other objective is to rise early morning and go down to the cove at low tide for muscles, Manila clams and seaweed. Some of the best shellfish harvesting on the west coast.

Arghhh! Back to the grind on Monday. Well, can't say I sat on the couch and spent Saturday night on the forum without a life. Very Happy

Took the wife and kid up to the mountains. Lots of roads are still closed after the monumental rains that came down the other week, washing out bridges and road beds. Saw fresh signs of landslides on the road into the mountain. There was one big boulder sitting on the shoulder of the road with an obvious impact crater where it hit. Hiked at Golden Gate State Park. Dinner at the Morrison Cafe.

Happy Saturday!

Happy Saturday to you Jack! Glad to see you got away. I know you had a rough summer with your move and all. I hope this rain soaker system here bypasses your area.

Cheers!

Moisture rarely makes it over the mountains, but the low-pressure system would need to tap moisture from the south to give us rain. Not out of the possibility but that last major rain the 'low' was northward tracking and stalled due to jet-stream conditions. It was an odd one.

Now I'm going to go sit on the couch and watch TV.

I was only KIDDING when i said posting on a Saturday nite meant you need to get a life! Laughing

I did some quick posting on another forum last night too after a busy day. Took my new MINI, picked up another couple and drove down to Port Dover on Lake Erie. Wandered thru all of the little boutique shops then stopped at the Erie Beach hotel for a platter of perch, celery bread and a pint of local beer. Port Dover is (somewhat) famous for two things that i know of: its perch fishing industry & perch dinners at the Erie Beach and the motorcycle gatherings every Friday 13th. This year they had just shy of 90,000 visitors for their 1 day event all packed into a small town of 7000 people.

Posting on Friday night. Is that as bad? Worse?

Stayed in and watched a movie with the sig-o.

If working on software I guess that's OK. Rolling Eyes If things went south tonight we probably wouldn't have this conversation. Laughing
