Hello all,

Thanks for having me.

I have been fond of vintage Gruen's for some time, but never really committed to buy a well kept or refurbished example, usually picking up half broken cheapies to roll the dice on repair.

I'm a much bigger fan of tanks and understated Art Deco designs, but a 60-70's round shape has been my first real success story.

That said, I have acquired a random assortment of parts, many of which I cannot match to calibre and some of which have come to me in foolish containers - hairsprings/balances stored and shipped with gears and all instead of left mounted on the plate.

If I am an aspiring watchmaker, I am on a very slow course. And that is fine.

BUT, I wondered if anyone has any suggestions of how to catalog what I have to see if it might be useful to someone else.

I can work on a directory of photos and a list of movement markings, but there are tons of loose components though some did come in marked tins.

Anyway, again, thanks for having me. I can't claim to be a resource, but really just a fan.
