Anyway, the watch appears to be the "Ocean King" model.
Available from late 1968 (see, I was correct...) until end of 1971. Yours built in 1970.

Can't offer you much in the way of information. This is from after the era's that have my attention. Others here will hopefully chime in.]]>JackW2024-03-27T21:07:05-00:00Much Googling and No Identification

I saw that listing and was contemplating it, I thought it was at the upper end of the price range for being "reasonable" but I've also been called cheap. I also saw a different listing for 450 parts and got lucky. Although it is missing two key parts, but has the all-important seconds pinion and heart. Maybe we can work out a deal for what I need from your stash. I'd be interested in one of your pushers, if you want to recoup some of your purchase.
Here are some of the threads that may be of interest to you, if you've not found them already:
Did you also buy the 14k case that had lingered on eBay for close to 2 years?]]>JackW2024-03-23T19:55:34-00:00Black linen dial Geneve
https://vintagegruen.org/vgforum/index.phpindex.php?t=rview&goto=18893&th=2601#msg_18893
I found this old Geneve on eBay and since the seller had it serviced and replaced the crystal I decided what the heck.
I'd never heard of a Geneve Precision so naturally I came here looking for info. When I saw it was generally a Europe/South America market watch but then saw info here explaining it may have been a US import by Gruen I pulled the trigger.
Again based on info I found here it seems to be between '57 and '60 since Gruen export sent them to the US starting in '57 but replaced the 415 with a 510 in 1960. It has an old Speidel stretch band on it currently.
When it arrives I'll update this with better photos. The seller photos are not very sharp and were edited with my iPhone to try to see details better.
Proper light folks, proper light.
Please correct me if i'm wrong.
Thanks for reading this and for any replies. ]]>Bykfixer2024-03-23T12:53:12-00:00Re: a steal or a bust? 450 cal movement

Most likely you can resell whatever you don't need and get back most of your money.]]>thesnark172024-03-23T01:50:21-00:00
