I dont have a lot of information on this one but someone once said a picture is worth a thousand words.... Razz
23.75mm diameter or 10 lignes (10 1/2 lignes per Bazzab)in size, 15 jewels and the movement number is just visible beside the escape wheel.

This movement is shown in the 1921 Standardized Parts Catalog as a 10 1/2 Ligne
The one shown,in the Catalog, is marked Watch Specialties, but is classed as a Guild watch.

Curiosity on my part... would the one marked 'Watch Specialties' likely be older than the 'Gruen Guild' movement i have?

The Watch Specialties are the older of the two
I believe Gruen started stamping Guild on movements around 1925/26.
The only evidence I have on this is, the 885 movement, which is from around that time, having owned several watches, all with this caliber, they have all been stamped Guild

Here’s a Marc Favre signed version: 143587185197

Identical, except for the stud carrier. Favre switched over to the new carrier (seen above) ca1921. The above was made 1921-1922, based on Guild markings & pre-1922 tariff stamps.

My two caveats:
1) I'm wrong many times a day --just ask my wife!
2) Always seeking to learn more

I never could get that number to show photos so I never saw the Favre signed movement.
I thought this pic would be a good permanant reference for this calibre post, nice ID Dan!

Here's one I've had for awhile. I've been trying to ID it and found this thread. The movement ticks but needs a thorough cleaning and lube.

Digging deeper into my stash of old movements I found a Watch Specialties version of this movement which is also complete and ticking. It's got the older stud carrier.
