Wow, yeah, any idea who’s presenting Gruen & what? I plan on being there—but have to join first
Also, any interest in a Cincy sightseeing visit while folks are around, either before or after? Thought maybe with planning we could get access to Time Hill & USPC Norwood, visit the Cleves shop (en route to Wadsworth plant in Dayton ky), 5th street, any other points of interest. Plus a brewery or two, if desired, to spice things up.
Thoughts?
My two caveats:
1) I'm wrong many times a day --just ask my wife!
2) Always seeking to learn more

We'll find out soon enough who will be presenting, Cleves did the last two presentations for the NAWCC. You don't have to be a member to see any presentation, however to get to the mart you should become a member at least if you want to get in early. If you decide to join there are special new member discounts that you want to take advantage of, I can help in that arena.
As for Cincy sightseeing you bet!!! I'll buy the first round. ;-)

Thursday the 25th there is a Gruen Presentation
4:00-5:00 Presentation: Gruen Watches (302-04)
This has been changed to Saturday 11-noon as of yesterday. Schedule
Screwed my airfare up; had to make changes. Now maybe we can do a group tour in Cincy on Sunday noon-ish.

Gary,
we have a number of cases here in Germany too. It is impossible to stop what's happening because once you have symptoms you have already passed it to others. So the number of cases will increase impossible to be stopped. The only chance is to slow down the number of cases so that the peak is not too high for national health systems to collapse. The slower the slope, the longer the wave, the lower the peak.
Here in Germany almost all fairs are postponed or cancelled, I am glad that I am working from home office. Next fair I would have to visit would be in May, which I expect might be the peak time for COVID-19 here in Germany. I expect the fair to be cancelled as well...
But I am sure that I will get it just like all others one day.

Jack,
Wife is recovered. Who knows but I'm still keeping National on the radar..., however National is in CYA mode if you ask me. Pipe dreaming!

Subject: Re: Regional and National
The NAWCC recognizes that communication to members regarding our events is important and this will be a regular topic at staff meetings. The risks posed by the Coronavirus and most up-to-date information is available through the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (WWW.CDC.GOV) which we encourage members to monitor.
As of this writing, March 2nd, we are glad to report that CDC is communicating a low risk stating "The general American public is unlikely to be exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19 at this time, so the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low."
We therefore have no current plans on cancelling any of our events, including Regionals or the National Convention at this time.
