Description: This ones a bit different than other similar posted. Leather over wood. Removable insert. Centered "Gruen Wrislet Watch" on silk. Dot - diamond pattern on inside like Gary's example with ad:

Thats a first I see this combo. So it could be that all the brown boxes had an time hill outer box. Probably made by denisson mfg co. Which makes me wonder if the inner box (is it leather or leatherette paper cladding) was also by them.

I’m guessing they did, only the outer box wore out. This set looks great for its age! I’ve got a set from the 40s with its outer box, so they were still in use decades later.

Interesting. I've never seen an inner and outer box before. But I've seen plenty of examples of early Hamiltons packaged that way, so it makes sense.
