Blue velvet ladies display case. With gold sides and name in front. Inside is a blue velvet watch holder and in the top lit off white with the Gruen crest logo. With little booklet that mentions TWA -trans world airline.

Period: 1950-1955?
Watch type: ladies unknown.
Size: D 9.4cm, H 4.5 cm and W 9.4 cm
Inventor: unknown
Patents: unknown

Box maker: unknown

Other: the box is canadian (Gruen watch company of Canada limited).. Sold by a jewellery at 487 McGill st. Montreal. Maybe name of the jeweller is MORE.

Wow, yeah, that front view of the box is reminding me of....some type of royal crown or something.
Is the insert removable? Guess I wonder the same thing about your blue velvet vision too.
I am really starting to enjoy the box library we have all built. Turning out to be a valuable addition to the forum. Thanks for sharing.

The insert isnt removable. And that means I put the booklet in the lit. Not sure where you should keep it.

This blue velvet is prone to discolouration. I have another wonky one where it turned purple. Might dissect it to see if I can find makers clues.

A decomposed box. Nu clues about the maker.

The box is metal and not plastic molding..
