This is an old family heirloom. It's unfortunately missing its crown. I'm looking for any information I can get to help me find a replacement crown. Age? Model? Etc..

It would help to see a picture of the writing inside the case back.

Age? About 100 years old: 1920 +-4 years.
Model? Gruen did not have model names at that time. The watches were called after their shape, this was called the "Paris Square".
Crown? Most of these ladies watches came with sapphire crowns at that time.

Thank you all, so much for all the help.
Are replacement saphire crowns available? Any sources of a replacement?

Not that I'm aware of...I've been looking for a scrap case to pilfer from.

You can go with a regular gold crown in the interim.

On ebay you can find some general cabochon crowns. Not sure if they fit. I think scrap case would be my preferred option too.
