For Sale Gruen Ocean Chief. Vintage Steel Gruen Ocean Chief Diver 560RSS. Vintage Beads of Rice Band. One of the best examples out there. Unpolished. Rare altogether, but extremely rare in this condition.

Hi Jack! Thanks for the heads up. Indeed. I have trolled a few post in the past. Great forum. I first got interested in Gruen from the Bond movie. Great history and greatly under appreciated as well as Elgin. Cheers!

It sounds like it probably sold in October. On a side note, I always find it somewhat amusing that one of the most valuable Gruen models comes from the era past its prime and has almost nothing to do with the the core Gruen heritage.

Yep, the diver market is truly its own thing. I guess it's the fact that a single Gruen model would be so desirable in that market is a little perplexing to me. But being a 1920s and 1930s dress watch enthusiast, there's not much reason that I would understand that market.

Je reconnais que ma remarque est totalement en dehors du sujet. Mais je n'ai pas pu m'en empêcher.
Elle consistait simplement à me rendre un peu moins sérieux, si toutefois, en dehors du travail, je suis sérieux quelques fois...  ;-)
C'est un de mes défauts, j'aime les choses (toutes les choses, un objet, une action, un service, un plan (je suis dessinateur technique)) bien faites, même une photographie.
J'essayerais de faire attention les prochaines fois.

It was simply about making me a little less serious, if however, outside of work, I am sometimes serious...;-)
It’s one of my flaws, I like things (all things, an object, an action, a service, a plan (I am a technical draftsman)) done well, even a photograph.
I’ll try to be careful next time.
