The 2026 Florida Mid-Winter Regional is happening February 9-15. This is one of the best regional events that rivals the National Convention. The show is truly one not to miss. Note, the Worldwide Traders watch show will also be happening two days prior, not to miss.

I tend to see many of our Gruen folks there as well.

Renaissance Hotel in St. Augustine, FL

The beaches are great and the St. Augustine sunsets are absolutely stunning.

The show was a good one and several Gruenites showed up. Myself, Kyle Rodgers and Lynn Cox.

Kyle had a showcase of his Gruen watches.

Bonjour,
Tu me mets l'eau à la bouche.

Hello,
You make my mouth water.
A question about the stitching on leather bracelets. On some bracelets (4 at the end of the red arrows), on the half bracelet receiving the buckle, the seams form a rectangle (dotted blue).
Is this rectangle-shaped seam 'typical' of watches from the 20s or 30s? (Gruen and other brand).

Yes it's typical to see that rectangle stitching (on both sides). I'd say from the 30's to 50's it was pretty common.

Box stitching was what I should say, the default. I make my own straps because I want them to be time correct. I prefer to use the correct materials too (or with the right look). Like pigskin and lizard. Some examples can be found on this forum. Maybe I should make a “how” to one day.

Straps are generally max 2mm and dont have padding. And have many small (saddle) stitches.

Example of an old strap I have

And a period correct remake for a Quadron (sneekpeek Jack)

I didn't get a table, takes 8 hours to get there by plane. But I should just to show a little of my collection. btw, Kyle has been selling his books there, a good reason to go and get one, plus a autograph. ;-)

Wow, mouth-watering is right. I see several watches that would interest me there. I think there are two steel Import Curvexes in the middle. Obviously that Techni-Quadron is sweet. And I believe that's a solid gold Import Quadron upper left, and a steel Import Quadron lower left. That's some impressive stuff.

You should catch Kyle's presentation the next time his presents. In fact, we are paring up to do a back-to-back presentation at a future show. Gruen Curvex/The Gruen Movement Factories.

The other one-off timepiece Kyle has is that SG pink Virtuoso black dial. Only sold in South America.

Nice!!! Looking forward to getting it. I'll make sure I show it with the buckle.
