While it has been some time since Art posted to our forum, he is well known to collectors for his interest in Gruen.
His daughter let me know that he passed away yesterday morning after being ill. He had been in assisted living for the last 2 years.
He was one of the first people I met online to discuss Gruen watches, and one of the joys of moving to Colorado was to get to meet him in person. He was a collector of watches, he was a veteran of the US military, he loved Colorado and he was a successful business operator. He was interesting to talk with. He knew Archie Perkins and Bert Tolbert and had great stories about Colorado before the population boom of the last 20 odd years.
All I know is based on hard work & writing by others. I can only aspire to augment this body of knowledge. If I am wrong it is because of my own failings. -me

95 ans, c'est superbe.
