Some of the daughter products in the decay chain from Radium can kick out high energy particles. You can get a sense of the particle type, by the trail it will leave in a cloud chamber. Especially for the high-energy cosmic rays that will zip through.

All I know is based on hard work & writing by others. I can only aspire to augment this body of knowledge. If I am wrong it is because of my own failings. -me
