I want to first thank JackW for doing a very nice job on re-staffing my personal 315. Now for that bad news! As I was taking all parts out of my solution (and I still haven't figured this one out) the assembly flies out of my hand and hits the floor. The hairspring is trashed, but the staff is ok. The solution I use has soap in it and will turn all brass. aluminum, and steel to a spotless, perfectly cleaned item. The problem is: things can be quite slippery, but I always have a safety net built in......glad it was my watch and not a customers!
I need a hairspring for a 315 or I need to know which other Gruen watch will swap out. I just can't believe this happened! I honestly do really nice work, but here lately I am running in to way too may gremlins! Any helpers out there in the Gruen galaxy?
Thanks again Jack! You did an excellent job!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Warmest Regards,
Tomas...AKA Timeticker!!!
