I have been buying parts from various people and companies. Here is the list of companies I have used:

Jules Borel - http://www.julesborel.com/

Borel also has what is one of the most valuable tools for tracking down parts but also in some cases understanding the relation of watches to manufacturer. The interchange database - http://cgi.julesborel.com/ Note: if nothing shows the first time, hit the back button and try again. Their server is funny in the way it plants cookies on your computer.

CousinsUK - https://www.cousinsuk.com/
Often if I can't find it from Borel, Cousins will have it.

Dashto - http://www.dashto.com/
A large selection of complete movements and partial movements. Often his prices are about the same as you'd see on eBay. But keep in mind that he's a watch guy and is giving good descriptions of what he's selling. Has tools too!

Ofrei - http://www.ofrei.com/
Has a much better selection of GS crystals than Borel and better prices.

William S. McCaw - http://www.mccawcompany.com/
I used these guys once so far and was very pleased with the customer service.

International Watchman - http://www.internationalwatchman.com/home.html
Has a great selection of watch bands. Does phone and email orders. Also does the circuit of NAWCC regional shows too. Great people to do business.

*NOTE - In setting up a customer account with either Borel, International Watchman or McCay you need to phone them to set it up, then afterward you can do things online.

Dial refinishing

International Dial of Wilington, Ohio - http://www.internationaldialco.com/Pages/Public/Default.aspx
I can't say enough good things about ID. Owned and ran by Robert and his family (wife and daughter work there) he has done some great work. Not so great work too but has made corrections without question. Can have a fast turn-around; sometimes it takes months. Does great work with re-luming hands and dials, without impacting the original finish.

All I know is based on hard work & writing by others. I can only aspire to augment this body of knowledge. If I am wrong it is because of my own failings. -me
