My green Gruen needs a new crystal to look right. I can find it in the Gruen's crystal chart in Mike's Green book but ordering it from the factory is a difficult step. Rolling Eyes

How can I translate this information to a crystal I can look for?

Measuring it is helpful when you don't have a part number.

I do have some part numbers though from crystal catalogs for a 157 / 8.
Watchcraft
(delta)2A260 This one was shown with the 8W specifically.
9A245 This one says 157/8 with no W in the catalog.
I'm not sure of the diffs between these 2. Could be the double-thick style perhaps?

The (delta) in the crystal book means...
Denotes Watch-Craft Regular Glass and Rock-Craft glass crystal. For Rock-craft include RC before the number. The 157/8W is available in both.

I searched and found the measurements for this crystal to be 26.0 x 17.3

If you really get stuck, there is always crystal houses that fit them at a good price.

I use a guy that always has these Quadron crystals in stock. His name is Ron, and a super good source. I own 9-10 Quadrons, and if you can send me a picture of your crystal, and if I have one in stock, you can have it!

I don't know why anybody thought these were a good idea, but you see quite a few colored aftermarket crystals floating around eBay. They sure don't make a watch any easier to read.
