This is a ca. 1945 Pan Am Eagle; or something close to it. See below posts...
This watch has been in my collection for some time (about 3 years) and I just don't wear it. I acquired the dial and hands separately. Did this watch come originally like this from the factory. Hard to say definitively. Everything is original Gruen other than the winding crown. edit - see below for adds featuring similar watches.
Movement was service about 3 years ago by Daniel Novak, an AWCI CW21 certified watch maker in Chicago. I've worked with Daniel for over 15 years (on and off) and he helped and encouraged me when I started working on my own watches. This was one of the last ones he did a COA for me. Certainly won't be due for another service for several years.
Movement is well adjusted, and received a new mainspring and new crystal at the time of service.
The case is exceptional with no wear showing on the lugs. The band is unworn, but bows because it was stored in my watch cabinet.
I'd like $220 for this one. These regularly sell for over $100 to $120 on eBay; you also get it serviced which is not as true on eBay auctions as often as it is stated. I'll take PayPal or you can send a check. PM me if interested, want other images or have questions.
Free domestic postage and discounted international postage.
If you buy it and don't like it you can return it within a week for refund less shipping cost.

Hey Jack,
I just sold a nice Pan Am for $470.00. Your price is a very modest and considerate price. These are worth a bit more than what you ask, but after all, you are a gracious and kind sort of guy! So, can I have it? Hahahahaha Lol! Happy New Year Jack!
