hi there

I'm looking for a set of Leaf, Moon or Baton style hands, gilt would probably look best but any colour will work, for a 179 movement. I need just minute hand if anyone has them in gilt Leaf (i have a matching gilt leaf hour hand) or a complete set (hour & minute) in anything else will work. I tried finding hole or length sizing in the Gruen Watch Reference Repairers manual without any success (I did find a good description of parts on page 98) but the hour hand that i do have is 7 mm in length.

PM me if you can assist?

Cheers!
mike

Do you have calipers to measure the hour wheel and cannon pinion? And/or a hand gauge to measure the hole in the hour hand you have? I'll pull hands from a 179 and let you know what they read or measure a movement or two. Having the hour hand length is quite helpful.

Ran across a baggie today in my parts (and which I had forgotten about). There is a pair of 179 hands for a rectangle dial. Attached image sucks but you get the idea on the size.
