That is a fine example of Gruen's "SEMITHIN" range. You can find some more background info on this range here. As said these were produced by "Lavina" and like many movements Gruen did not produce themselves these were initially marketed under the sub-brand "PREMO Watch Co." or "Watch Specialties Co."
