Does anyone know anything about the Acme Watch Case Company located in New York City circa early twenties?

I didn't know they made watch cases, but it figures. They did have a very diverse product line.

I can't be of any legitimate help. As I'm sure you already know, google turned up next to nothing. Is there a particular watch company they're known to have supplied?

This guy claims that Elgin used Acme for their pocket watches.

Ahh yes, my hero Wile E Coyote purchased a lot of different things from Acme through the years.
Many years ago I bought a watch from a watchmakers estate, a Bulova. Pretty watch that I just put into a case and more or less forgot about it. Well yesterday i took it out and I was surprised to learn that it has the first model Bulova movement that was marked with a model number. It's marked AAI which from what I can tell was made in 1921 & 22. The case is marked Acme Watch Case Company.. Here is an advertisement that I found.

Watch is in great shape and runs great. Obviously since it is so well cared for it meant something to the watchmaker that owned it. The dial is marked Bulova by the way. I know little to nothing about Bulova watches except I love the Accutrons. I am jut trying to figure out if the case is original to the watch.

Thanks Gary but that's the Acme Watch Company which came around much later I believe. I am looking for the Acme Watch Case Company. If you happen to know a Bulova Guru I would certainly like to talk to him or her.

Monty,

For Bulova there is this place...
http://www.mybulova.com/forum

I've posted watches there and had good luck with the forum members...

I had a quick look thru the USA Trademarks book of 1904 and did not find the ACME Watch Case Company.

Still here....
