Great looking watch. How do people react when you wear it?
Funny to see a strap watch buckle this close to the watch.
Is the strap original or custom made?

I wear my RistSides very rarely, as I find them awkward on the wrist. People do tend to notice them though.
The strap is a Gruen signed ostrich skin, made for the 1980s reproductions. It allows the buckle to sit at it's proper position underneath the wrist.
My other RistSides have the original pigskin straps, in roughly the same dimensions.

I have a strange Gruen flip-chart presentation, and it includes a page about the Ristside watches, showing the advantages of wearing a watch this way - seeing the time while driving, etc.
My favorite is a guy sitting in a boring meeting, who can look at his watch without being obvious about it.
