If anyone has a good CAL 311, that keeps good time (movement only) please PM me.

Kind Regards,

Had this same issue recently. Good luck and I'll keep an eye out for you.

How bad is the one you're working on?

Pick a part from my collection. It's your mix, congratulations!

Hi Gary,
Welp, thanks for the offer, but the one I have starts and stops, and is driving me insane. I found another hairspring from a 500, and that works nicely, but the watch still stops on me. Before, the watch was terribly slow, and of course, the hairspring was toast. I would really like to get a good running 311. I am going to tear this one down again, and see if I missed something........scratching my head here!!! I may be able to use that oversize winding stem. I have another parts movement that may be able to be brought online if not for the worn out place on the movement where the stem rides.

The 311 is twitchy... double and triple check in the leaves of the pinions on all of the wheels. Check your escape wheel tool; might have worn teeth. Also check to see if the pallet is rubbing on the roller. For this you might need to just have the balance and pallet fork in place to really see into it. Do you have a timing machine? That could help pin point whats going on in the train for the short period you can get it to run.

Cheers!

I'll send out the winding stem to you this week.
