Well, Thiebaud's name is on the 1950 patent of a later Gruen Autowind movement (this the 480?): http://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/pages/US2661591-0 .png
I think that it isn't a hard stretch to posit that he also designed the 460.

All I know is based on hard work & writing by others. I can only aspire to augment this body of knowledge. If I am wrong it is because of my own failings. -me
