On cleaning the dial.............I have used an extremely gentle hand soap and have ever so gently either used my index finger, and you can use a potter's sponge. Gently, gently ever so gently rub in an inconspicuous place and see what happens. However, this is not a "re-dial" I am with Jack on this one.
