A warm welcome!

Your two-tone case is definitely one of the more interesting versions of Gruen's "new Veri-Thin" pocket watch line. They don't show up very often and checking my database they only seem to have been produced in the period 1939 to 1942 as Barney already said.

Including yours I have logged only nine out of a total of 172 data points. Your case number G255564 (movement 4-110757) being the highest so far. The lowest case number I have found is G174626 (movement 2-275554). These two-tone cases were also available with the 17j 385 caliber with a capped escape wheel as the only difference.

Nice watch!
