I would imagine not, but it does feature a prominent curve, more so than any pre-Curvex Gruen I've ever owned.

The deep impression on the case back to accommodate the flat movement may have swayed Gruen to come up with a better design. Looks like a lot of extra gold in that case back to consider a better curve design and save the gold. Then again maybe not, more gold, higher the price.
