I don't think so. I don't recall the details, but somebody on the old board (maybe thojill or keeth?) identified it as somebody else's ebauche. I only remember it because around the same time a NOS case was on eBay and I (like many others) have a NOS dial, so I did some digging to see if it was a relatively common movement like some of these Valjoux calibers, and it wasn't at all.


Don't blame me... Actually my opinion is that the 450 is a Gruen movement based on the fact that the base caliber shares many parts with cal. 405 and 430 (Material Catalog 448, page 54). Maybe the specific chrono parts were supplied by another manufacturer, something which is still common practice today.
