The ratchet wheel isn't normally a part that needs replacing. Very interesting.
Unintentionaly at the factory I would guess highly unlikely as it would have never passed through quality control from my perspective.

More likely a repairman's substitute. This happened(s) frequently with Gruen 877 and the Rolex 300 calibers I heard, where Gruen 877 movements are used for donor parts to restore a Rolex Prince which has a 3-4 times higher value than a Gruen Techni Quadron
