While going though an old jewelry box from my late uncle (1907-1970) I came across this very nice Gruen. I'm hoping the members on this group can help identify it.
The numbers inside the case are: 330 417; G191022.

Thank you

Hi There!

Welcome to the Gruen Forum.

The number "G191022" looks to be a serial number from a Wadsworth Case. 'G1' is approximately 1941. the '330' is the caliber of movement that was cased; a Curvex in yours.

The number '417' is what Mike Barnett refers to as the 'style number'.... You can use his scheme on his site to estimate the date that style went into production.

Name?

Hmmm.... Might be the Curvex Grandee, seen in Mike Barnett's 1940 Decade book; p. 18 & 50. Hard to tell between the angles of your photography and the copy quality in Mike's book.

All I know is based on hard work & writing by others. I can only aspire to augment this body of knowledge. If I am wrong it is because of my own failings. -me

Gruen Master

Looks to be in pretty nice shape.

People you thought were your best friends will stab you in the back to your face!

Love them anyway.
