The Gruen 50's black dials are one of my favorites. Also the 335 is a joy to overall out of all the movements I've worked on.
The stamping is very unusual.
*Edit - gotta wonder if the movement stamp on the case-back hides a future movement Gruen had in the works? The big 3 hides a mystery.

Interesting. There are no known ads with images for the Strap 741, so far. Thanks for posting this ad, wasn't aware of this Hamilton model.
Gruen retailed the 14k 741 at 200.00. Surprisingly, it's quite a bit more than the 135 dollar Hamilton Robert.
Strap 741 was introduced in 1952.
