Hey all,
New to the forum and watch repair more generally. Picked up a nice 707 that needed some work. As this is my first repair, in attempting to replace the balance staff I lost the roller table (need to stop working in a carpeted room). After over an hour with the magnets and flashlight I came here. I'm willing to pickup an entire movement if needed, hopefully incomplete or beyond repair, as to limit the loss of a good watch. Not sure if someone out there can help but it would be appreciated!

Hello!

Can't help you out with a 707 roller table. There is a complete 707 on eBay for $40. Assuming you are in the US?
Also, try Blake at www.scotchwatch.com. His online inventory is not always accurate. He might charge as much as the whole movement on eBay though.

With older movements like this that need parts, patience is going to be your friend.

Also, don't give up on the hunt in your work area.

...and would also be interested to hear more about your adventures into watch repair.

Appreciate the info Jack! I've been creeping around the forum noticed some people had parts for 707 but I went ahead and got the movement off ebay. I'll make sure to update this post with some pictures when I get her up and running.

/vgforum/index.php?t=getfile&id=11868&private=0After 3 weeks of struggle she's back to ticking away. Let's hope she has another 90+ years left, and yea I misaligned the hour hand, the work is never done!
