Another sub-brand of Alpina was apparently 'Gilde'. Like Siegerin, the brand was marketed in Germany but I see far fewer of the Gilde marked watches than the Siegerin marked ones on eBay. Speculation might suggest that the name was not used as long or was replaced by the Siegerin name. These styles are very similar.

Model name : Unknown
Type : Unknown
Period/date : circa 1935
Gender : mens

Case Maker : Krupp (of Germany)
Case Material : Stainless Steel (marked edelstahl)
Case Serial :15456
Case Style no : marked GL 117 on the inside (assuming this is a style number)

Caliber : 485 - 15 jewels movement
Movement Maker : Gruen/Alpina (Straub)
Movement Serial: na

Bracelet : modern leather strap; original unknown

Other info : Dust proof crown design is patented by Gruen. Marked 'Krupp' on the case back.

Here is the watch as it was received. Bought off of German eBay.

Cool! I let this one go as I bought a golden one in December. Mine is a GL137, serial 52841. The only caliber 485 watch I own...
If you are interested I can also show it here.

Cool! ...and please add yours, unless you'd like to feature it in its own thread.

Nice looking watch, Jack!

Are 485 parts difficult to find?

Not that bad. I've a spare movement. Also a stem and staff too.

Good to know. I've had my 485 movement for about 4 yrs now. Balance looks good. It has a stem & crown.
It came out of a model 148 "Major" , as that's the dial that came came with it.
I've been hunting for a case all this time with no success.

Nice to know that someone reads my posts. Thank you for catching the typo.
And for additional clarity: https://watch-wiki.org/index.php?title=J._Straub_%26_Co./de
