This is a Cartouche 554.
The serial number should be of 1933 / 1934 and starting with a 6 is valid for a watch not containing gold.

Cool find, I have never seen it been advertised.

I found it some years ago and bought it because I liked the dial. Smile

Why would they put the guildite info on the outside? It is a matter of taste, but in my opninion it is interfering with the engraving,

I doubt it being an engineering decision. This might have been by (tax) law, because at that time they started to mark all cases at the outside. Marketing would have defeated against engineering.
