Hey all,
I have a 1944 Gruen Veri-Thin Caliber 400C, Style 526 ("C" standing for curved dial) for sale. It has a 17 Jewel mechanical movement with a rose gold case and crisp sub-seconds dial. I find this to be a rarely found Gruen style (#526) and movement with unique features not present in other Veri-thin models. The slightly curved shape gives the dial subtle depth. It has a beautiful dial with proper matching hands and the correct signed Gruen crown.
In NOS-like condition with a few age-related blemishes, rarely worn and well taken care of. Both the crown (original signed Gruen) and crystal are in great condition. Winds, sets and runs well and keeps good time. Case measures approximately 28 mm wide excluding the crown and 16 mm lug width. Comes with genuine calfskin leather strap.
