I picked this up recently and am looking for a better dial. This one isn't terrible, but the logo is very faint. Another redial and who know how much will even be remaining. If anybody has one in their parts pile, I'd sure appreciate it. I'll take a movement with it as well if that's helpful, and I'd even take a whole watch and do a dial transplant. There were a few gold filled models with the same dial and movement. In other words, I'll take whatever anybody wants to unload as long as it's got this dial.

Honestly I think the dial looks good, but I'm of the person who likes patina and the wrist registering on the geiger. The precision logo is interesting. I have a couple of toneu 705 dials but have the second hand dial.

Thanks Gary. I'm a condition queen and like everything to look like it just came out of the jewelry store. But in this case, the dial is such that I wouldn't have it refinished. I agree that it doesn't look bad as is, and with all lume intact presents well enough. But if I could score a spare dial with stronger print, I would definitely like the option of a cleaner look. That said, looking at a large picture, the logo is actually more intact than my failing naked eyes thought.

This is also the first time I've had a chance to use one of the original factory crystals from my 1920s crystal case, and I have to say it's amazing how the crystal just pops into place and is secure with no glue. Perfect fit, no visible lip or edge. It makes you realize that even a pretty good aftermarket crystal is not the same as original. I don't know if you can tell from this picture, but the crystal is 100% perfectly flush with the bezel.

That looks superb with the aged dial and the band has some age so it's definitely a match. I would go with that look until a new dial comes along.

Yeah, I can definitely enjoy this watch as is. But it's just decoration at this point. Gotta get it serviced. The balance seems fine, but it's stuck in setting mode.
