What brand is the bracelet? Add a picture of the clasp and I can see if I can ID it in my Gruen bracelet catalog.

That'd be great, what year was your bracelet catalog published?
It's probably by A & Z. I think. There is definitely no name marked, that's why I had it taken apart, but there is a patent that comes back to a Dalo but assigned to A & Z Chain out of Rhode Island. Began business in 1905, still around in some form. I know I have 5 or 6 other Gruens with A & Z marked chains & I see them all the time on Gruens too, ones that look to be convincingly original.
Thanks.

Sleek art deco watch! And pretty bracelet.

And guildite not something you see often.

Varsity extra wide.... no match found.

All the years. It's actually the bracelet equivalent of the Master Book. There are a ton of bracelets similar to this one, but none by A&Z. Mostly Kreisler, Sturdy, and Speidel. And the pictures are not clear enough to make out details like the four ridges in the connecting pieces for a positive ID. But I agree, it could well be original. Gruen was definitely using this style of bracelet, and that patented clasp may also have been licensed to one of the manufacturers I mentioned.
