Could this be Favre’s no. 15? Doesn’t seem to appear in the 1926 catalog.

Wow, Cary, now there’s a deep cut from the archives! Certainly looks the part of a smaller-size Favre 15. What a cabochon! It’s a miracle the stem is still intact.

My two caveats:
1) I'm wrong many times a day --just ask my wife!
2) Always seeking to learn more

For sure not the Favre 15, but definitely one which I have never seen before. This needs a further investigation, any idea which caliber number this could be?

One thing I can say - that serial number lines it up with the Dietrich Gruen labeled pocket watches. The early 19j Ultra-Thin, Up/Down, Minute Repeater, and Minute Repeater Chronograph are all in the SN range 41k-42k.

So my first thought is to look up the maker for those watches.

The main bridge layout is also similar to the Solvil ovals, but never seen one that small. Would be good to see front plate.

Since we are talking Agassiz and ovals, I'll throw this one in.

Not quite sure if all these movements should be shown in the cal 151 thread...

I note a second serial number on the front plate, in addition to one that matches Gruen’s. Any chance of confirming?

I do wish we could peel off the 89 and this mystery caliber into separate threads.

There was another labeled factory in this 42k Serial Number range in this time: Factory L. See the front plate of the 849 posted in the caliber database.

Cary--can you please confirm the dimensions of this oval movement? We'll peel it off into its own thread.

The second number stamped underneath the dial is 13694, as best I can tell. That stamping is very faint and may have been polished over.

Dimensions are 18.6mm x 12.65mm.
