Nice watches both, Gary!
& welcome to the Trooper club...I also have the gf on silver model but with a much higher sn# G525525.
Production must have been strong for this model.

Is it possible, that the Curvex Trooper was the watch with leather strap, and the same watch was called Curvex Colonel when it was equipped with a metal expansion band?
It would also be quite unusual if the solid gold version would have the same name, but I have not seen an ad for the solid version. Any one here who knows more?

Yes, I have compared about 10 ads for each watch (Trooper and Colonel) from 1941 to 1945 and could not see a difference. Earlier ads showing the Trooper are talking about the availability of a flex version and ads of the Colonel are talking of a leather strap version vice versa but both without naming the other version.
