The hand of this box feels like real leather. Mine is missing the insert. I’ve seen another, with a late 20’s Quadron inside, and I’m thinking that’s what it’s for. Came with Wrist Watch guarantee paperwork inside.

Period: late 1920s

Size: 2” W x 2.875” D x 2.75” H
Inventor: Harold R. Haerr (University of Michigan grad, class of 1921 early)
Patents: Mar 10 1925 & color scheme Pat pending

That's a totally new one to me. I'm guessing the insert would display the watch upright and facing forward? Kind of like this:

If so, this would be the first box I've ever seen from the Guild era that displayed a watch in that orientation.

Correct. It leans backward when opened now, without the insert weight to balance it.
