Good afternoon,
This watch was inherited from my Great Aunt in 2002. I am interested in identification and valuation of the piece, and I am not familiar with these processes.

Hi and welcome. Nice pretty little watch you have. Probably difficult to give this watch a name. The full gold versions are not that much advertised.

We are not appraiser’s. Value of these small ladies watches is normally the emotional value. Monetary it is the gold value.

Jenneke is right, but also you seem to have made your homework already. The 1950 date should be correct, the case serial number indicates a 1950 production while the movement seem to have been built in 1949 already.
Although I have access to thousands of advertisements, the more or less only source to get names of Gruen watches, this watch seem to have not been advertised. So for now no name for this watch. From the feature set I assume it sold in the $125 to $150 back in 1950.

Gruen, Gruen, Gruen ist alles was ich habe... Gruen, Gruen, Gruen is all I have...(German folklore song)
