Description
The light brown cardboard/paper box has a brown rim. The lid is not flat. The watch holder is made from brown velvet. Inisde the lid is silk with “Gruen Wristlet” and “The most beautiful in America”.

Period: 1915-1917?
Watch type: ladies silk ribbon wristlet
Size: H=2.5 cm W=9.7 cm D=4.8 cm
Inventor: unknown
Patents: unknown

Box maker : Maybe Dennison Mfg Company? No markings though.

Other: dating of this box is done by looking at advertisements. For a short period Gruen mentioned the “most beautiful..” in their ads.

What also could help with dating the box, is the wristlet.

The watch that was inside, was the left one. The right one came with it, so could also be the original watch.

Botch watches have a gruen 1/10 clasp. Slightly different in markings.
