I had hoped to show a very pretty watch… but she is in the making. First two pictures above are from the seller.

To do list:
- new crystal ✅
/vgforum/index.php?t=getfile&id=11116&private=0
- fill some black enamel ✅
/vgforum/index.php?t=getfile&id=11117&private=0
- dial clean ✅
/vgforum/index.php?t=getfile&id=11120&private=0
- coa movement ⛔️
Some parts are stuck. Rust holds them  :(

And its the three screw crown wheel version. Dont have spares for that. Right now its bathing in WD40.

I will update this post when the watch is ready. A nice sport strap in the making too. I havent found an original clasp for it. Any tips are welcome.

Is it an orne? For sure it is on the orne page in the gruen guild book. I would say yes, the enamel makes it an Orne. But the difference between the gold and reinforced models, is that the solid got an orne number and the reinforced a cartouche number. Weird.

Nice to see someone with a restoration in progress.

What are you using for the "enamel"?

I use acrylic paint. That is also what I use for an “antique finish”.

In theory you could add some enamel and melt it. And make it al shiny new and fresh again. But.. that is way out of my skills league.

The paint probably wont survive another 100 years, but is an optical (and kinda reversible) solution.
