Super Nice Watch!

I did notice something off on the timeline.

The time frame says 1911-1920, but the case has a patent shape applied for (May 25, 1921) but it doesn't have the 3-7-22 patent granted date for the Pentagon shape. So, doesn't the time frame have to be at least 1921 and before 1922?

Can someone with more knowledge chime in here?

Is this the only example of these early Pentagons or are there other pictures of these? Can you post?

Also, why doesn't this watch have a VeriThin Movement?  Ideas??

Looks like this was cased in Switzerland and not CINCINNATI

Because its a Dietrich Gruen. Therefore has a UltraThin (UT) movement Extra Precision.

 Thanks for lighting that up... I mainly focus on the American Gruen Pentagons cased in CINCINNATI.

 I grabbed this timeline:
 
 1915 Introduction of Swiss Dietrich Gruen Extra Quality/Extra Precision watches
 1917 Movement production shifts permanently to Switzerland
 1920s UltraThin and other premium Swiss pocket watch movements become established

 So from this timeline, it looks like all the UltraThin Pentagons were made in Switzerland (case and movement).

 I still maintain that this watch was made during or after 1921.

 Please post other Gruen Pentagon examples of the Patent Pending - Patent Applied for Shape markings in the case backs. Pull yours out to see!
