Hi. I was wondering if you can help identify this watch. (Gruen Automatic)
L378477 480 729 SS is on the case.

I was trying to look it up and found that 729 is the Style and 480 is the caliber.
Year 1950
BUT, I can't find any pictures of this exact watch with these lugs! I found the dial, but not this EXACT watch.
Help! Very Happy

Hi,

Very nice watch in an excellent state! This should be the Gruen Autowind Dartmouth which I found being advertized from 1952 to 1954. You will find pictures in Mikes 50s book for each of these years.
It is also known as the "Strap 735" from the Master Book. It was common practice that the same watch was sold under a different name with at different watch band attached, so you may also find it under another name most likely starting with a "D".
